We have all the bases covered for a catch-up with friends, a family outing, a celebration, a seat in the sun, an impromptu drink, or a well-earned break. An integral part of the village, we support local darts teams, domino leagues, and Fringford cricket club. The Butchers Arms also hosts an Aunt Sally team. Aunt Sally is a traditional game only played in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.
The perfect place to enjoy a selection of real ales with a quality home-cooked food menu. Daily specials add to our traditional menu at reasonable prices, and we cater for dietary needs, vegetarian, and vegan diets. We also offer a wide range of lagers, ciders, wines and spirits.
Open all day every day from midday. We have a large outdoor seating area with a view of the cricket green, and a children's climbing frame. In the winter, warm up by the log fire and enjoy the friendly atmosphere with your favourite tipple.
Set in the heart of Oxfordshire, it’s the home of Flora Thomson. Her 19th-century book Lark Rise to Candleford is based on her childhood in Fringford and was immortalised in the BBC series.
